Story time

The starting signal

At the turn of the century, Laurin’s was built as the former “Villa Laner” and in the 1930s, it was handed over to the later owners Gottfried Götz, Paula Pörnbacher and Mrs. Hell from Monguelfo. Gottfried’s daughter Berta continued the business with her husband Emmerich. From “Villa Laner” it became “Gasthof Laurin” and the first renovation took place in 1968. In 1979, Berta’s daughter Christine married Otmar Kiebacher and another renovation followed before the couple took over the guest operation in 1993.

Moving forward with vigour

In 2003, Gasthof Laurin was expanded with 9 junior suites and the dining room and kitchen were completely renovated. Since 2009, son Jürgen has also been working in the business and became a partner in 2012. He met Luzia, and in 2017, their son Noah was born. In the same year, some rooms were renovated, the hotel got a new reception, and the exterior facade a new coat of paint.

Grown step by step

In 2018, Luzia and Jürgen got married and took over the business together a year later. In 2021, the big renovation followed: the exterior facade was completely redesigned, new relaxation rooms were created, and a new outdoor pool found its place in the garden. The ground floor with its lobby, bar and lounge area, as well as the bike and ski room were redesigned. In 2022, their daughter Lia was born, and the new South Tyrolean bio-sauna was built the same year.

On to the next adventure

In the years that followed, the Laurin’s was gradually expanded and gently modernised with great care and attention. In 2023, a new wellness area was created featuring a Finnish infusion sauna, steam bath, ice-mist shower, tea corner and a completely redesigned massage room for treatments offered by our therapeutic masseuse. In 2025, two new chalet suites made of warm reclaimed wood were added, along with a fully redesigned dining room featuring a cosy stube, a light-filled glass cube and a newly arranged breakfast area.

With every step, the Laurin continues to grow into a place where continuity and renewal blend in perfect harmony. New materials, lovingly crafted details and spaces dedicated to well-being carry our story forward – always with an eye on what creates heartfelt moments for our guests.
