NEW: Ski shuttle directly from the hotel to the slopes
- The Sesto Dolomites skiing area offers lots of fun on 77 km of pistes. The area includes the Alta Pusteria cable cars such as Dobbiaco, Monte Baranci, Monte Elmo, Croda Rossa and Passo Monte Croce.
- You should also absolutely go skiing on the Plan de Corones, the number one mountain for skiing in South Tyrol with 114 km of slopes! Just leave your car at home and take the snow train that brings you to Perca every half an hour. You board the train in Dobbiaco (just a 5 minutes' walk from the hotel) and get off again in Perca, right by the new Ried gondola lift in Plan de Corones.
- Another popular skiing destination is Cortina d'Ampezzo. Here you will enjoy pure skiing fun on 140 km of slopes.
New connection Monte Elmo-Croda Rossa
Decades of effort put into the creation of a link between the ski areas of Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa have finally paid off: there are now two new modern 8-seater gondola lifts, allowing skiers to easily travel between the ski areas and enjoy two new tracks.
Directly at the "Signaue" resort in the valley is the new "Three Peaks" gondola lift, which can carry about 2,000 people to the resort at the top per hour. At 2,092 m, you can relax and enjoy to the full the view of the mountains and Sesto.
Right beside the “Tre Cime” station there’s the station of the new “Orto del Toro” cable car. With a 27% slope that is 1354 metres long and 36 metres wide the “Orto del Toro” piste offers sheer downhill fun!
New Versciaco – Monte Elmo train connection
Together with the new connection linking the two skiing areas Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa, a new train station is opening in Versciaco. The train station is located right at the valley station in Monte Elmo and can be reached via a flyover. A new “Punka” service centre is also opening soon at the valley station. In it you will find: ski school, ski rental, ski-service station, ski-depot, free WLAN and a supermarket.
With this new facility, not only can you reach the Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa ski areas by train, but also the two big Plan de Corones and Dolomiti di Sesto ski areas. The Ski-Pustertal-Express between Versciaco to Perca runs every 40 minutes to guarantee to skiers pure fun on over 200 km of pistes in Val Pusteria.
